Massive Oil Deposit Could Increase US reserves by 10x

Folks. Why are we drilling for oil offshore when there is so much of it here? We keep importing oil to this country which over 40% is already converted to gasoline.

Approximately 40% of the energy consumed annually by the United States is produced by burning oil.[1] As of 2008, more than two-thirds of this oil is imported. With approximately 5% of the world's population, the United States is responsible for approximately 25% of annual global oil consumption and according to 2008 estimates has a per-person daily consumption rate more than double that of the European Union, whose population is significantly greater.

American dependence on oil imports has grown from 35% in 1973 (the first year reliable data were collected) to 60% by the end of 2006. The Energy Information Administration projects that U.S. oil imports will remain flat and consumption will grow, so net imports will decline to 54% of U.S. oil consumption by 2030. According to the Department of Energy, the top oil exporters to the United States in May 2008 were Canada, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Venezuela, and Nigeria (in order from most exports to least).

Canada even though considered liberal by many is drilling and producing oil which is obvious since they are the biggest exporter of oil to the USA.

All the others on the list are not too friendly with us or have a real shaky government!

Why is that bad? Consider if the Saudi Government collapses or is forced under threat because our weak President won't act to stop and attack from someone like Iran. Oh really, we would attack Iran? We haven't stop them so far. Look at Iraq! Whom do you think is trying to influence that country and has been caught supplying arms to kill our troops. Yeah Iran. Neither Bush had or Ulama Obama is doing anything about it and now they are going to let a nuclear reactor go online in Iran very shortly leaving the Israel no choice but to attack and do it alone.

One of the major things the Saudis have historically done, in part out of friendship with the United States, is to insist that oil continues to be priced in dollars. Therefore, the US Treasury can print money and buy oil, which is an advantage no other country has. With the emergence of other currencies and with strains in the relationship, I wonder whether there will not again be, as there have been in the past, people in Saudi Arabia who raise the question of why they should be so kind to the United States.

OK, that should scare you. Our money is almost worthless at this point anyways. Guess sooner than later we will have to start buying oil with gold instead of cash like we did in WW II.

If we continue a policy not to drill on land for our own natural resources then we will continue to have to deal with radical Muslim countries that want to destroy us. We need to drill for our own oil, build more refineries (which are running at 98% capacity now) and quit giving the Muslims and Socialist like Hugo Chavez our money.

Our national debt would disappear if we would only drill for our own oil and so would our energy crisis.

Vote any politician out this November that doesn't support drilling for oil on land or building more refineries here in the USA or we will be slaves to the Muslims forever!

CARACAS, Venezuela — President Hugo Chavez threatened on Sunday to cut off oil sales to the United States if Venezuela is attacked by its U.S.-allied neighbor Colombia in a dispute over allegations that Venezuela gives haven to Colombian rebels.

Chavez made his warning in an outdoor speech to thousands of supporters, saying: "If there is any armed aggression against Venezuela from Colombian territory or anywhere else supported by the Yankee empire, we ... would suspend shipments of oil to the United States!"

"We wouldn't send another drop of oil to its refineries, not a single drop more!" Chavez shouted, adding that the United States is "the big one to blame for all the tension in this part of the world."

Now here is the truth and proof about oil in this country and why we need to drill. This is just one example.

America is sitting on top of a super massive 200 billion barrel Oil Field that could potentially make America Energy Independent and until now has largely gone unnoticed. Thanks to new technology the Bakken Formation in North Dakota could boost America’s Oil reserves by an incredible 10 times, giving western economies the trump card against OPEC’s short squeeze on oil supply and making Iranian and Venezuelan threats of disrupted supply irrelevant.

In the next 30 days the USGS (U.S. Geological Survey) will release a new report giving an accurate resource assessment of the Bakken Oil Formation that covers North Dakota and portions of South Dakota and Montana. With new horizontal drilling technology it is believed that from 175 to 500 billion barrels of recoverable oil are held in this 200,000 square mile reserve that was initially discovered in 1951. The USGS did an initial study back in 1999 that estimated 400 billion recoverable barrels were present but with prices bottoming out at $10 a barrel back then the report was dismissed because of the higher cost of horizontal drilling techniques that would be needed, estimated at $20-$40 a barrel.

It was not until 2007, when EOG Resources of Texas started a frenzy when they drilled a single well in Parshal N.D. that is expected to yield 700,000 barrels of oil that real excitement and money started to flow in North Dakota. Marathon Oil is investing $1.5 billion and drilling 300 new wells in what is expected to be one of the greatest booms in Oil discovery since Oil was discovered in Saudi Arabia in 1938.

In a stunning development that could potentially send the nation into a
Constitutional crisis, an astute attorney who is well-versed in
Constitutional law states that the ruling against the state of Arizona by
Judge Susan Bolton concerning its new immigration law is illegal.

The attorney in question submitted her assertion in a special article in
the Canada Free Press.  Her argument states in part,

"Does anyone read the U.S. Constitution these days? American lawyers
don't read it. Federal Judge Susan R. Bolton apparently has never read it.
Same goes for our illustrious Attorney General Eric Holder. But this
lawyer has read it and she is going to show you something in Our
Constitution which is as plain as the nose on your face.

"Article III, Sec. 2, clause 2 says:

"In all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls,
and those in which a State shall be Party, the supreme Court shall have
original Jurisdiction. In all the other Cases before mentioned, the
supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction."

In other words, the Judge in the Arizona case has absolutely no
Constitutional jurisdiction over the matter upon which she ruled.  As the
Constitution makes abundantly clear, only the U.S. Supreme Court can issue
rulings that involve a state.

This means that neither Judge Bolton nor the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals
in San Francisco, to which the case is being appealed, have any legal
standing whatsoever to rule on the issue.


Thus, U.S. Attorney-General Eric Holder filed the federal government's
lawsuit against the state of Arizona in a court that has no authority to
hear the case.


The attorney whose heads-up thinking concerning the Constitution provides
the legal remedy for dealing with this blatant disregard for
Constitutional law in the article at Canada Free Press, which can be
accessed at the link above.

In a related development, another explosive discovery was made by those
who actually take the Constitution seriously.  The Constitution
specifically allows an individual state to wage war against a neighboring
country in the event of an invasion, should there be a dangerous delay or
inaction on the part of the federal government.  This information was
cited by United Patriots of America.

From Article I, Section 10 of the U.S. Constitution, we find these words:
"No State shall, without the Consent of Congress, engage in War, unless
actually invaded, or in such imminent Danger as will not admit of delay."


No one who is actually familiar with the crisis at the southern border can
deny that Arizona is endangered by the relentless assault of lawless
Mexican invaders who ignore our laws, inundate our schools and medical
facilities with unpaid bills, and even endanger the very lives of citizens
with criminal drug cartels that engage in kidnapping, murder, human
trafficking, and other mayhem, including aiming missile and grenade
launchers directly at U.S. border cities from just across the Mexican
border.

This is every bit as much of an invasion as the nation of Iran sending in
a fleet of warships to the Port of Charleston.

The Constitution that forms the basis of the rule of law in this country
says that Arizona has legal right to protect itself in the case of
inaction or delay on the part of the federal government, including waging
war in its self-defense.


This, when coupled with the clear Constitutional mandate that only the
Supreme Court hear cases involving the states, should be ample legal
basismfor attorneys representing Arizona to go after the federal
government with a vengeance.

Governor Jan Brewer and the stalwart members of the Arizona legislature
have ample legal reason to stand firm against the illegal bullying of an
arrogant, lawless federal government.

Governors of 35 states have already filed suit against the Federal Government for imposing unlawful burdens upon them.  It only takes 38 (¾ of the 50) States to convene a Constitutional Convention.

For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they didn't pay into Social Security, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform that is being considered...in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn't seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don't care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop. This is a good way to do that. It is an idea whose time has come.

Have each person contact a minimum of Twenty people on their Address list, in turn ask each of those to do likewise.

Something Stinks!!!

1. 4 weeks before the BP blowout, Obama builds an alibi ---"I am opening offshore drilling in all the Coastal U.S." Goldman Sachs dumps nearly all of its stock (40%+) in BP, a profitable winner. Days before, they dump the rest.

2. BP ignores the advice of all the drilling contractors on making the well safe.  British Petroleum had a manager directing drilling who had never been on an offshore rig before and purposefully ignored all safety warnings.  BP ignores TransOceanic warnings about a problem with the blowout preventer.  BP ignores repeated warnings on numerous problems from numerous sub-contractors.

3. The well explodes under suspicious circumstances, but BP does nothing immediately to control it.  Why? And the Dutch offer to have it controlled in 48 hours. They are ignored.

4. Obama sacks his National Intelligence Director (a Navy Admiral) who cannot comment on intelligence or the reasons he was sacked because of Federal Laws.

5. BP top-kills the well but fails as was predicted by numerous oil professionals causing downhole damage to the well which has caused a massive pollution of the southern U.S.  The way they bungled everything, the Gulf will be dead for decades!

6. Obama now declares ALL drilling suspended in the Gulf and makes numerous PR trips to the Gulf to look as though he is outraged.

7. John Podesta is Obama's man that built his cabinet and all his Czars.

8. John Podesta is also head of George Soros' Center for American Progress (a socialist organization dedicated to 'killing capitalism' in America and building, according to Soros, "A New World Order").  John Podesta's brother is the lead lobbyist for British Petroleum, whose services are now in huge demand.

9. Soros was a 'major contributor' to Obama's campaign.

10. Soros invested $900 million in Petrobras, the Brazilian government controlled oil company that plans on drilling offshore in Brazil,  yet cannot get the deepwater rigs operating in the Gulf.

11. Days after Soros' investment,  Obama grants $2 billion of U.S. Taxpayer's' dollars to Petrobras to drill offshore in Brazil ... The company nets over $15 Billion annually.

12. U.S. Drilling companies must do something with their now idled rigs and are planning on moving them off to South America --- to Petrobras which will supply the oil to the U.S. As an import.

13. Obama gives a patsy White House Oval Office speech on the disaster but, also during the speech, he states the need for Carbon Taxes ... Cap and Trade!

14. The carbon tax exchange will be based in,  you guessed it, Chicago ... And called the CCX...The CHICAGO Climate Exchange

The machinery would provide high tech jobs and spur a whole new industry of high paying tech jobs.

We can invent machines to pick the lettuce, cucumbers and other stuff. They already do it with oranges.

Now let's talk about HEALTH CARE REFORM - Which is just socialism in all reality.

(CNN) -- Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez Sunday said his country will stop exporting oil to the United States if there is a military attack stemming from escalating tensions between Venezuela and Colombia.

Speaking at a political rally, Chavez warned of a military attack from Colombia, and accused the United States of being behind such an attack.

"The Yankee empire has no limit to its manipulation," Chavez said.

Colombia and Venezuela are at odds over accusations that Colombian rebels have found refuge in Venezuela. Colombia called an emergency meeting of the Organization of American States last week, in which it provided photos that it said were evidence of camps belonging to the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia -- known by its Spanish abbreviation, FARC -- in Venezuela.
